ABOUT NCEDS

Our Mission

The National Council For Ethical Debt Settlement ( NCEDS) is a nationwide non-profit organization of members who represent and have represented hundreds of thousands of consumers victimized by fraudulent, abusive and predatory business practices in the Debt Settlement industry. As an organization fully committed to promoting justice for consumers, NCEDS members and their clients are actively engaged in promoting a fair and open marketplace that forcefully protects the rights of consumers, particularly those facing foreclosure.

Debt Settlement Scams

The Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) has reported a growing problem with scams involving purported rescue plans for home owners facing foreclosure.  The FTC brought 11 cases targeting mortgage foreclosure rescue and Debt Settlement scams within the last year and is actively involved in ongoing investigations. If you are a victim of a mortgage foreclosure rescue scam, please contact us to discuss your legal options.

Know Your Rights

Don’t be taken advantage of by lenders or dealers or debt collectors or other small and large businesses. Know your rights so that you and your neighbors can be treated fairly and know your rights so that you can join us in building a fair and just consumer marketplace.

We Take Action With Class Action Lawsuits on YOUR behalf

Consumer fraud class action lawsuits are specifically designed to help individuals who have been similarly aggrieved to pursue a common goal – namely to hold the deceptive business accountable for any damages suffered. Thus, consumers who have been defrauded by a corporation or other entity may file a consumer fraud class action lawsuit on behalf of themselves and others to seek compensation for their shared grievance.
